ForeverStrength 60+ Program

Stay strong, steady and independent with coached strength & balance training for over‑60s in Adelaide.

If you’re over 60 and feeling slower, stiffer or less steady than you used to – or worried about falls, stairs or keeping up with life – ForeverStrength is for you. It’s a small‑group, over‑60s‑only strength and balance program at D8 Training in Clarence Gardens, designed to help you feel stronger, move more easily and stay independent for as long as possible.

Apply for the 8‑Week ForeverStrength Program

When you apply, we’ll call you to talk through your goals, health and weekly schedule, check that ForeverStrength is appropriate and, if it is, book your 1‑on‑1 assessment.

Feeling slower, stiffer or less steady on your feet?

As we move into our 60s and beyond it’s common to notice:

  • Stairs and hills feeling harder than they used to
  • More stiffness getting out of chairs or off the couch
  • Feeling wobbly on uneven paths or in busy shops
  • Worry about trips, falls or “becoming a burden”

Most people are told to “just walk more” or “do some light exercises”. Walking is great, but on its own it usually isn’t enough to:

  • Rebuild real leg and hip strength
  • Improve balance and reaction time
  • Give you confidence back on your feet

That’s where ForeverStrength comes in.

Why “just walking” hasn’t been enough

If you’ve tried to get moving by walking more or doing bits and pieces at home and still feel like you’re sliding backwards, it’s usually because:

  • There’s no structured strength work for your legs, hips and core
  • There’s no balance training in a safe environment
  • Movements aren’t adjusted around your joints, replacements or health history
  • No one is checking your progress or telling you what to do next

ForeverStrength is built specifically for over‑60s:

  • Small groups, coached every rep
  • Exercises adjusted around sore knees, hips, backs and shoulders
  • Clear 8‑week blocks with testing before and after
  • A calm, friendly environment with people your own age

Introducing the D8 ForeverStrength System (8 Weeks)

ForeverStrength combines three key elements to help over‑60s feel stronger, steadier and more confident:

Checklist with checkmarks and dumbbell icon.

1. Strength for everyday life

Safe, coached strength training focused on the muscles you use for chairs, stairs, walking and getting off the floor – not bodybuilding or bootcamps.

Person with arms raised, surrounded by a heart, apple, and dumbbell, symbolizing healthy lifestyle.

2. Balance & confidence on your feet

Gentle balance and control work in a safe, supervised environment so you can walk, turn and move without constantly worrying about falling.

3. Support, safety & community

Over‑60s‑only sessions, small class sizes and coaches who understand arthritis, replacements and medical considerations – plus a friendly group that makes it easier to keep showing up.

Our Stronger‑For‑Sure Guarantee

If you show up and do your part, we believe you should feel and see a difference.

If you:

  • Attend at least 12 of your 16 ForeverStrength sessions over 8 weeks, and
  • Complete both your start and end strength & balance assessments

…and you don’t improve in at least one of our three key strength or balance tests (sit‑to‑stand, single‑leg balance or grip strength), then:

  • We’ll coach you for free for the next 4 weeks in ForeverStrength (2x/week),
  • Or, if you’d prefer, we’ll refund your 8‑week program fee.

Our aim is simple: if you do the work, you should feel stronger and steadier – and we’re prepared to take on the risk if you don’t.

Who ForeverStrength is (and isn’t) for

ForeverStrength is for you if:

  • You’re 60+ and want to stay strong, steady and independent
  • Chairs, stairs or walking feel harder than they used to
  • You’re worried about falls and want to feel safer on your feet
  • You prefer a calm, over‑60s‑only environment
  • You want coaching and structure, not being left alone with machines

ForeverStrength may not be for you if:

  • You’re looking for high‑intensity bootcamps or very fast weight loss
  • You want loud music, big crowds and maximum sweat
  • You have acute, unmanaged medical issues that make all exercise unsafe (in this case, please check with your GP first – we can work with you and your doctor where appropriate)

If you’re not sure which side you fall on, that’s exactly what the application call is for.
