Personal & Private Training in Adelaide
One-on-one coaching in a private, coached strength gym – for adults, athletes and over‑60s who want faster, safer results.
On this quick 10–15 minute call we’ll talk through your goals, injuries and week, then recommend whether 1‑on‑1 PT, group strength or one of our front‑end Adult programs is the best next step.
If you want more guidance than a group class, or you just prefer a quieter, more private environment, our 1:1 personal training is the fastest way to get stronger, move better and feel more confident. You’ll train with an experienced D8 coach in a private or semi‑private setting in Clarence Gardens, with a program built around your goals, injuries and schedule – no generic workouts.

Why Personal & Private Training Might Be Right For You
D8 isn’t a big commercial gym where you’re left alone with machines. Our 1‑on‑1 coaching is designed to give you:
- Custom workouts – every session built around your goals, history and level
- Technique correction – hands‑on coaching so you feel safe and confident under the bar
- Private, focused environment – no crowds, no distractions, just you and your coach
- Real accountability – someone expecting you to show up and progress each week
- Faster problem‑solving –
injuries, plateaus and movement issues dealt with directly
Who Personal & Private Training is for
1‑on‑1 is a great option if you:
- Feel nervous or unsure in a normal gym environment and want extra support to start
- Have recurring niggles or injuries and need someone to adjust movements on the spot
- Want to clean up technique on key lifts (squat, deadlift, press, etc.)
- Are stuck on a plateau and want a short, focused block to break through
- Have a tricky schedule that doesn’t always fit our group timetable
- Want to combine PT with Adult, Athlete, JuniorGym or ForeverStrength sessions for extra attention
If you’re not sure whether you need PT or just a good group program, book a PT consult and we’ll help you decide.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What’s the difference between “personal training” and “private training” at D8?
At D8 we use “personal training” and “private training” to describe the same thing: one‑on‑one coaching in our coached strength gym. You’ll work directly with a D8 coach in a private or semi‑private setting with a plan built just for you.
Q2. Do I need to be fit before I start private training?
No. Many people start personal training precisely because they don’t feel fit or strong. We begin at your current level, with variations and progressions that are appropriate for your age, experience and injuries.
Q3. How often should I do personal training?
Most clients see great progress with 1–2 sessions per week, often combined with D8 group classes. We’ll recommend a plan in your assessment based on your goals, budget and schedule.
Q4. Do you offer private training for older adults or people with injuries?
Yes. We regularly work one‑on‑one with over‑60s and with adults managing joint pain, past injuries or medical considerations. We’ll always liaise with your health professional where needed and adjust training accordingly.
Q5. How do I get started?
Click the enquiry button on this page or call the gym to book a quick fit call. If it sounds like a good match, we’ll schedule your 60‑minute assessment and map out your plan from there.
