How to use your first 21 days at D8 to build lifelong habits

Neven Antic • October 22, 2026

Quick wins are nice. Habits are better.

Here's how to use your first 21 days of strength training classes in Adelaide at D8 to build habits you can actually keep.

Habit 1: Show up on the same days and times

Pick:

  • 2 or 3 specific class times each week
  • Times you can protect 90% of the time

Treat them like appointments you wouldn't cancel on someone else.

Habit 2: Keep a simple "session ritual"

Before each session:

  • Drink some water
  • Have a small snack if needed
  • Arrive 5–10 minutes early

Same steps, every time. Your brain starts to recognise "this is what we do before we train."

Habit 3: Track 1–2 simple numbers

In your first 21 days, don't stress about everything.

Track:

  • How many sessions you attended
  • Maybe 1–2 basic lifts (e.g. squat and deadlift numbers)

You're building a scoreboard for showing up, not chasing perfection.

Habit 4: Make one food change, not ten

For example:

  • Add protein to breakfast
  • Or swap soft drink for water Monday–Friday
  • Or no food eaten standing up after dinner

Master one, then move to the next.

How we support this at D8

Inside our 21-Day Strong Start and Adult Group Strength:

  • Coaches help you choose a realistic schedule
  • We guide you on what to focus on in sessions
  • We give you simple nutrition resources, not a 50-page rulebook

If you're ready to use three weeks to build something that lasts years:

We'll structure your first 21 days so you know exactly what to do and when.
